Details
In 2004 Branquinho was invited to Pitti Imagine where she would exhibit her Autumn Winter collection. Known to some as the “Twin Peaks” collection Branquinho paid tribute to the David Lynch series by recreating the set of the famous “Red Room”, in which her collection would be presented. More of an art performance than a runway show, models danced, skulked about and let loose in some of Branquinhos finest tailoring. Slightly flared trousers, slim-fitting tuxedos, and outerwear that was reminiscent of the plaids worn on the show exemplified the designer's prowess and exercise in detail. Branquinhos skepticism for runway shows is due to the nature of her menswear clientele, she was stated to design clothes for more “subtle and subdued” men, so the glamour of a catwalk did not coincide with her ethos. This black coat is done in sturdy cotton and features a drawstring hood with a removable brown fleece lining. Adjustable interior strap, exterior front pockets and drawstring cords on the hem.
