For Undercover’s Spring Summer 1999 collection “Relief”, Jun Takahashi pushed the boundaries of everyday menswear items like sweaters, hoodies and denim jackets by adding zipper closures where there would normally be seams. This allows for different pieces of garments in the collection to be worn in conjunction with one another. One of the most DIY one-off pieces Jun has produced for the exclusive “Undakovr” label, this work shirt has been over-dyed black to create a worn-in effect. All pocketing has been removed on the chest and sleeves, a distorted and fragmented “Groupie” graphic is printed on the front and back of the garment.
