Undercover “One Off” Groupie Work Shirt - SS99 “Relief”
For Undercover’s Spring Summer 1999 collection “Relief”, Jun Takahashi pushed the boundaries of everyday menswear items like knits, hooded sweatshirts, and denim jackets by adding zipper closures where there would normally be seams. This allows for different pieces of garments in the collection to be worn in conjunction with one another. This shirt is from Undercovers exclusive one-off collection "Undakovr", in which Jun creates one-of-a-kind pieces from samples, vintage garments, and fabrics. Jun adds his DIY flair to these garments by implementing Undercover graphics, adding new hardware, or taking apart the garment and reconstructing it into a new one out of scraps. This shirt was made from a vintage work shirt that has been washed to create a fading throughout. "Groupie" reverse sublimation graphic is printed on the back of the garment. Pockets and patches have been removed from the shirt to show unique fades.
