One of the leading designers of the 80s Thierry Mugler was known for his theatrical and exuberant runway shows. Garments inspired by insects, animal furs, and symbolism were ever-present. A distinguishing feature of his was the precision and cut of each garment, whether it be a jacket draping effortless over his shoulders or his metallic bodices and corsets that proved incredibly modern and subversive even by today’s standards. This green jacket is made up of a sturdy cotton fabrication and features an embellished jewel-like snap button closure. Substantial padded shoulders give the garment a powerful silhouette that contrasts well with its bright belligerent color scheme, that screams 80s glam, leather glove debonair.
