Raf Simons Striped Knit Sweater - SS06 "Icarus Surgit"
Titled “Icarus Surgit,” Raf Simons’ Spring Summer 2006 collection drew inspiration from the mythological tale of Daedalus and Icarus by implementing elements of airiness, movement, and flight. The collection relates to the Greek myth wherein the young Icarus flew too close to the sun causing his wings to dissolve, plunging him into the sea. Many tops include latticework, lightweight fabrics, and oversized fits that drape fluidly on the body.
This sweater is done in a mint knit with contrasting stripes knitted throughout. Fits slim.
