Number (N)ine Skeletal Tom Verlaine Tee - SS04 "Dream Baby Dream"

Number (N)ine’s Spring Summer 2004 collection paid tribute to the global punk movement of the 70’s. Takahiro played British Punk during the runway show introducing his collection with The Clash’s, “London Calling.” Outfits reminiscent of London and New York punks featured, leather motorcycle jackets, disheveled and loose-fitting suits, as well as the classic wallet chains visible on all of the early punk movement’s pioneers. The collection takes its name from Suicide’s, “Dream Baby Dream,” Takahiro pays homage to frontman Alan Vega with his use of leather accessories and disheveled looks on the runway. An homage to skeleton tees and Television lead singer Tom Verlaine this faded tee shirt features a skeletal render of him on the front of the garment. Light distressing along the collar and sleeves evoke the classic NN look.
