Background
Number (N)ine's Spring Summer 2004 collection “Dream Baby Dream” was named after the Suicide song off of their “Ghost Riders” 1986 album. Takahiro Miyashita’s punk inspiration is evident with the show displaying fringed fishnet mesh tops, leopard prints, greaser style leather outwear, sleeveless tops, and exposed blackout zipper details seen here. Alongside the clothes, the show’s playlist featured songs from Nino Rota, The Clash, Richard Hell & The Voidoids, The Vibrators, Buzzcocks, The Boys, Ramones, and Johnny Thunders. Skeletal renders of these punk icons were used as motifs for this season’s tees. This black bomber features fourteen scattered zippers and removable sleeves, encompassing Miyashita’s prominent punk influence.
