Details
Number (N)ine’s Autumn Winter 2005 “The High Streets” collection projected a signal of shift for Takahiro Miyashita’s design ethos. Whereas up to this point, Miyashita derived most of his inspiration from traditional western tailoring and design, he would soon opt for more grunge aesthetics. The Shift in design philosophy is quite evident in “The High Streets”, as the consumer is witnessing a transformation of fabrics right before their eyes. Grunge, goth and military undertones are all present within each of the garments. This tee shirt is inspired by popular tour shirts used as band merchandise during the peak of the grunge movement. This distressed tee features a cracked, “The High Streets” tour graphic and light tearing on the collar and sleeves.
