Issey Miyake Reversible Caretag Jacket

Envisioned in 1977 by Issey Miyake and his younger protege Tsumori Chisato, Issey Sport took a fresh outlook on classic sportswear aesthetics. Lasting for 13 years, this line brought unique design aspects to the market, specifically Tsumori’s use of various pleating techniques. The line was renamed “I.S. Chisato Tsumori Designs” but soon after discontinued in 1990, when Chisato Tsumori left Issey Miyake to found her own self-titled label. Although the line was not particularly popular at the time of release, Issey Sport has seen a revitalization as of late. This jacket features a reversible design consisting of a nylon side and a cotton side. The Nylon side features the infamous Issey Sport care tag graphic, prominently displayed on the back of the jacket.
