Details
Issey Miyake has been a pioneer of fashion, design and textile technology since the designer first established his studio in 1970. The Japanese designer studied graphic design in Tokyo at Tama Art University; after graduating he worked in Paris under the tutelage of Guy Laroche at Givenchy. After a few years in Paris and Manhattan, he returned to his native Japan and formed the now renowned Miyake Design Studio. Miyake was interested in sculpture and the human body, he would experiment with different fabrics and sewing techniques to showcase how body and fabric would uniquely conform to each other. These trousers are done in a soft cotton fabrication and feature distressing throughout and intricate argyle pattern throughout the legs.
