Hussein Chalayan contemplates the temporality of spaces, and how they change in relation to biopower, culture, and historical events. Modern forms of travel like aviation were other points of reference for the collection. Pockets on outerwear were designed with these factors in mind. The designer even attached fabric strips to garments that invited customers to meet at Heathrow airport in London. This meeting was orchestrated to be a personable giveaway for items that would fit inside the pockets of the garments.
