For Autumn Winter 1999 Helmut Lang embraced leathers, silver, military garments, and space outfits to create one of his most recognizable and celebrated pieces. The presentation showcased the best of Lang's effortless tailoring and his appreciation for workwear and technological innovation. Taking cues from NASA spacesuits and biker jackets to create a look that is all at once contemporary, chic, and unabashedly new. This jacket is done in a sequin fabrication that gives it a shimmering effect throughout the entirety of the garment.
The jacket features a removable hood on the collar, padded lining, and zip closure. As with most Helmut Lang pieces from this season, the jacket comes with interior backpack straps. Missing button from previous use.
