    One of the decade's most forward-thinking collections, Helmut Lang’s Autumn Winter 1998 showing, was an embrace of technology and the internet. Lang incorporated his usual austere tailoring with tech fabrics and a neutral color palette. The collection was one of the first to be shared on the internet, thus creating a new space where the designer could create a dialogue between him and consumers. Today this can be seen as common practice, yet at the time it was anything but. This sent a shock throughout the industry, demanding them to follow suit and embrace the digital age to come. This jacket is based on an M-51 bomber Jacket, cut in a classic drop-shoulder fit. It features a quilted lining, classic metal hardware, sleeve pocket and
