Background
Final Home was founded by Miyake Design Office's Kosuke Tsumura in 1994. The Survival Parka's inception comes from the idea if he lost his house due to war, disaster, or unemployment what clothing he could create. The parka's conceptualization stems from the theory of adaptation of the cold, hunger, and health. Seven fully functional zippers run down the jacket with pockets made for storing newspaper for warmth, survival food, or medical emergency kits. As the brand's name Final Home implies, it is the idea that the parka is the ultimate shelter.
