Details
For his Autumn Winter 2016 collection Dries Van Noten blended sartorial military garments with kaleidoscopic psychedelia. Dries brings his penchant for embroidery and military tailoring to the psychedelic world of artist Wes Wilson. Wilson was known in the '60s and '70s for popularizing the psychedelic art style posters that would later find themselves in protests, acid tabs, the peace movement and across other counterculture groups. This military shirt is done in a thick cotton twill fabric. A mixture of hand-sewn military badges and psychedelic embroidery are placed throughout the arms and chest. The back is adorned with a coat of arms patch and eastern inspired insignias.
