Background
Undercover's Autumn Winter 2006 collection featured items bound over and over again by an element from the garment or from an entirely different article. Models wore masks which entirely covered their face giving off a disquieting or fragmentary impression, but on closer inspection, many of them have clear feminine features. The concept of "BUT BEAUTIFUL," first presented in Autumn Winter 2004, went on to become the underlying theme of subsequent seasons and came to an end with this fifth installment. These corduroy jeans feature insect motifs scattered throughout the legs and the iconic Patti Smith-inspired lightning bolt on the left knee.
