One of Simons’ most visually sinister collections Autumn Winter 2005, “History Of My World” was the designer’s shift to tailoring and a play on proportions. The corporate, exaggerated white-collar suiting was emblematic of Simons’ ongoing critique of the neoliberal order and consumerism as a whole. Cropped jackets, oversized trousers, and outerwear plagued the runway. Outside of the show, the collection featured some of the designer’s most memorable graphics, each taken from various different subcultures and musical influences.
Classic slim-fitting shirt in a cotton poplin material with cargo pockets along the sleeves and grey mother-of-pearl buttons. General wear throughout, fading and cracking on some buttons.
