Out of the many lines within the house of Maison Martin Margiela, the Artisanal Line 0 10 continues to be the most forward-thinking in its methods of repurposing, construction, and fabrication of new garments. Repurposing has been at the forefront of Maison’s design ethos since the label's inception. However, as the brand continued to grow it had become increasingly more difficult to produce re-worked garments on a larger scale each season. This led to the establishment of a new artisanal line in 2006. Since then the design team at the Maison uses their unbridled freedom to create intricate pieces, sourced from materials all over the world. Some of these pieces include coats made out of leather belts. Gilets constructed out of military cargo pockets and vintage inside-out painted jeans. These pants are made out of vintage corduroy pants and feature patches throughout the garment.
