Veronique Branquinho’s influences cast a wide range of eclectic artists and individuals, from film directors, painters to musicians. For her Autumn Winter 2006 collection, the designer wanted to capture the romantic essence of the couples of the ’60s, like Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. Models were pictured standing side by side and wearing his and her version of the same garments, trench coats, suits, and knitwear. The disheveled look of the models are reminiscent of the decadent couples of the 60s, Bob Dylan and Joan Baez come to mind. This coat is done in an ecru beige cotton and features leather buckles throughout and a double fanged back yoke with vented panels.
