Veronique Branquinho's first Autumn Winter show since she dissolved the label in 2008 had the designer channeling her usual influences but with a more refined and elegant approach. Her models wore Nancy Cunard inspired wooden armbands throughout the show, other muses included noise artist Dirty Beaches, Joy Division and Marilyn Monroe for an eclectic mix. The collections western influences blended strikingly with the designer's mature approach to styling. Pencil skirts and trench coats were part of the usual affair, this coupled with animal prints, safari jackets and cowboy hats made for an unlikely yet powerful dichotomy. One of the standout pieces in the collection, this classic fitting shirt is made out of a unique blend of synthetic fibers to achieve a metallic gold sparkle.
