Ruffo was an Italian leather manufacturer founded in 1966. Ruffo Research recruited Veronique Branquinho and Raf Simons for the Autumn and Spring 1999 collections. Branquinho designed the women's collection and Simons, the menswear. The two brought an experimental edge to the Italian leather supplier. Simons's youth culture and music influences were a much welcome change, and Branquinho's prep sophistication was on full display. Matte-leather jacket in a high-neck style with a sherpa lining and double-zip closure.
